2025년 제12회 고려대학교 대학원생 학술대회(이하 KUGS 학술대회)가 전 세계에서 아시아학 관련 연구를 진행 중인 대학원생 분들을 정중히 초대합니다. KUGS 학술대회는 대학원생들에게 아시아학에 대한 생각과 최신 연구경향을 공유하고 토론할 수 있는 장을 만들어주기 위해 매년 개최되고 있습니다. 오는 2025년 5월 고려대학교 서울캠퍼스에서 개최될 이번 학술대회는 젊은 학자들이 자신들의 연구를 동료와 예비 학자들에게 소개할 수 있는 기회가 될 것이며, 해당 연구분야의 다른 연구자들을 만나 각자의 경험과 작업들을 토론할 수 있는 소중한 경험이 될 것입니다.
2025년 제12회 KUGS 학술대회의 주제는 ‘한국 전통문화와 한류의 만남: 한국 문화의 과거, 현재, 그리고 미래’입니다. 또한, 지난 11번의 학술대회를 정리하는 의미에서 신진 연구자들의 연구 동향에 대해서 정리하는 시간도 가져보고자 합니다. 발표문이 다루는 시대는 어떠한 시대라도 무관합니다. 모든 지원서들이 검토의 대상이지만 한류, 한국 문화, 역사상의 문화 교류에 대해 다룬 지원서들은 역사에 대한 분석과 이해의 측면에서 추가적인 검토를 통해 선정될 예정입니다. 저희는 한국사와의 비교 연구라는 측면에서 한국사 뿐 아니라 기타 아시아학에 대한 발표문도 환영합니다. 창의적이고 혁신적인 아이디어로 한국사를 연구하는 젊은 연구자들이 다양한 관점을 공유할 수 있는 공간을 마련하는 것이 2025년 학술대회의 목표입니다.
The Korea University Graduate Student (KUGS) Conference invites graduate students from around the world and conducting research in Asian studies to submit abstracts for our 2025 conference. The KUGS Conference is an annual conference which aims to provide a forum for graduate students to exchange ideas and discuss current research on Asian studies. This conference, to be held in Korea University Seoul Campus, is an opportunity for young scholars to present their research to both their peers and eminent scholars. The conference will also enable participants to meet others in their field conducting similar research, and to gain experience in presenting their work for discussion.
The 2025 12th Annual Korea University Graduate Student Conference special theme is “Heritage Meets Hallyu: The Past, Present, and Future of Korean Culture.” In addition, in the sense of summarizing the past 11 conferences, we would like to take a time to organize the research trends of young scholars. We welcome papers that cover any time period in history. Although all applications will be taken into consideration, special consideration will be given to papers regarding the Hallyu, Korean culture, and cultural interactions in historical contexts for the purposes of analyzing, understanding, and depicting history. We also appreciate papers related to fields in Asian Studies, particularly ones that can provide comparative interpretations with regard to Korean history. Our goal of the 2025 conference is to provide a space for young researchers studying Korean history with creative and innovative ideas to investigate diverse perspectives.
발표 자격과 지원 방법 안내 Eligibility and Application Guidelines:
1. 지원자들은 반드시 현재 대학원 과정(영국 학제 기준으로는 “postgraduate”)에 등록되어 있어야 합니다. 1. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a program of graduate study (“postgraduate” in British degree classification systems).
2. 발표문은 반드시 아시아학(주로 한국학, 중국학, 일본학)에 관련된 내용이어야 합니다. 2. Papers must be related to Asian studies, mainly Korean, Chinese, and Japanese studies.
3. 초록은 250단어 이하여야 합니다. 3. Abstracts must be no longer than 250 words.
4. 초록 제출 기한은 2025년 3월 5일(수) 오후 5시(KST)입니다. 전자메일은 koreahistoryconference@gmail.com으로 제출해야 합니다. 4. Deadline for abstract submission: Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, 5:00 p.m. Korean Standard Time. Email submissions to: koreahistoryconference@gmail.com.
